I got a big love for water sounds in general and the whole tracks theme is around that. I not only like the sound but also the flow, shapes, movement and reflections of water.


The basis for this whole composition is a bunch of random glitch genereator mudpies made in the beginning to cut out little fx and short sounds.

Later on i threw some of this mudpies in an ableton simpler to transform them snd make the melodies of the 2nd drop. I also used some instances of synthplats to make some random blips and blops.

The whole track is also filled with different atmospheric elements, powerful drums, syntesized basses and melodies with different layers and granular edits in the back and a great focus on the love for detail and progression.

A collaboration between Signals from Sirius and QWillA.

Started by me with the trap intro as well as some concepts of bass parts for later i handed it over to QWillA to do his magic. He added his unique touch of trippy sounddesign, weird bass designs and some beautiful melodic elements.

Since we never met in real life, cause we live across the atlantic ocean this was all made by sending the track over the internet. All tho we felt a strong connection since the beginning and the song name represents this. We had the idea to combine our both mother languages for the title, so ''ÜBER'' is german and means over/ above and ''SPHERE'' stands for a spherical object. It's a symbol for the greater connection of all human beeings on earth which often we do not even recognise but should admire.

The idea of this song was created in a depressive and destructive state of mind full of $uicidal thoughts and despair a few months ago.

I was not making that much music at that time, instead i sleeped way too much and didn't had the energy to be creative or function properly. My mood was at a longtime low and i know i needed to do something to get put of my (self-) destructive head.

After some uncontrollable harsh and overfloating negative emotions at some wednesday i just wrote down some thoughts. I was hopeless, angry, sad and hated my existence on this crappy planet.

I didn't had the intention to write a song, it was more to just express the pain that i felt to find some understanding and distance. After i was done i thought this would fit perfect in a DSBM song.

When i got home i started to immediately work on the instrumental. Just after a few days i had the whole song mix ready and soon recorded the vocals a few times till i hit the right mood.

The song starts slow and cold but slowly progresses and get's more and more intense to a blast beat section at the end. The vocals are raw and aggressive and contribute to the dark atmosphere.

Basically "Todestrieb" is a way for me to express deep inner feelings and wounds that might never fully heal and will always come back.
